- Popular wedding months - July, August & September
- Popular day to get married - Friday & Saturday
- Popular dates - 22nd July, 12th August, 26th August, 2nd September & 9th September
- Popular honeymoon destinations - Europe, UK, USA
- Budget range - 40% spend around £10,000 - £20,000
- Average wedding budget - £17,913
- Budget Controls - 65% of couples have no budget or go over it
- Overspending - Food & Drink at 33%, Honeymoon & Guests at 29% each
- Tough to do - Managing the guest list - 24%
- When you do the planning - 63% do it after working hours
- Who does the planning - Bride at 93%. (No mention of same-sex weddings here.)
- Wedding Fayres - 60% close to where you live, 39% at the venue you chose, 26% don't attend wedding fayres.

- Marquee @ £5.4k
- Photography @ £1.2k (up ever so slightly from last year)
Who do you hire
- 69% hire a venue
- 66% hire a wedding photographer
- 16% hire a videographer
How do you contact suppliers
- 85% do it via email
- 53 do it in person
Wedding Photography Stuff in Detail
- 77% hire a full-time professional wedding photographer. (that's me by the way!)
- 15% hire a part-time photographer
- 7% get a friend to do it
- 21% have two wedding photographers. No info provided to say if BOTH are full-time professionals.
- Only 17% include a printed album. (I include 20 mounted prints with all my weddings.)
- 48% get images on a USB stick
- 3% of wedding photographers also provide a booth service. (I stopped this as I quickly became a child sitting service at weddings!)
