Thornbury Castle Wedding Photography
Thornbury Castle Wedding Photography – SO this was my second wedding of a three wedding weekend! Day 2 – Thornbury Castle as the Thornbury Castle Wedding Photography for Lana & Steve.
The day started of pretty early with the bridal prep and the rooms at Thornbury Castle are just fantastic for that, or lat least the one I was in. Loads of light that allowed Thornbury Castle Wedding Photography to proceed apace. The bridesmaids were an absolute hoot – loved them all! It was a bit chaotic, there was only myself and Dad in the room full of girls. The Long Room where the service was being held was a challenge, dark and very little natural light. The Fuji XT2’s I had coped admirably though and stepped upto the plate.
An owl was delivering the rings, but due to the room height it had to fly very low and I only managed to get a few semi blurred frames as it neared it’s handler. I got many more afterwards though 🙂
Family and group shots were next on the agenda, and as regular readers will know I love doing these. They are no hassle at all and being a Thornbury Castle Wedding Photography specialist I knew the best place to grab the main group shot – hanging out of a bedroom window for a shot in the main courtyard.
A great day, started around mid-morning (late start for me!) and continued into the evening finishing at around 9 pm. Some fabulous guests, fabulous staff at the castle and one of the best bits was seeing the faces of some of the guests as they walked around this amazing 500-year-old castle!
A few teething problems made some parts of the service & day late – but it all worked out in the end with some great laughter and photographs 🙂
