Cheap product photography | Product Photography
Cheap product photography - so you're a designer of small items, maybe bespoke jewellery or hairbands or other such small items. You work from home, possibly in a free bedroom though usually the kitchen table and you struggle to get decent images to put on eBay or Facebook or Etsy etc and sell you amazing stuff.
This blog post and video is for
YOU.
The Kit List or What you will need.
- A kitchen table. Or a mirror. or both in fact.
- LED lights from or small fairy lights; eBay
- Small bit of velvet material (in the video I use a small velvet bag). The material should be about 2ft x 2ft if you are going to use it as a background, maybe a little bigger if you use it over a table.
- LED inspection lights. I got mine from Clas Ohlson and eBay
- LED torch, again from eBay or even Asda?
- Tin foil (although I didn't use this in the video I will in subsequent videos!)
- iPhone or Point & Shoot camera.
- Editing software (That's another video to come) from Google called Picasa and it's FREE. Whoo Hooo
So to get
Cheap product photography all you have spent is maybe £50; and if you look around you can get stuff cheaper. If you are starting out I know £50 can be a lot - but it's worth the investment.
The video below shows what can be done in a small area with some of the above stuff. I will be doing more video's so keep checking back.
