Wedding Photographers in South Wales – Andrew Miller Photography
Wedding Photographers in South Wales. Andrew lives just outside Chepstow in Monmouthshire and specialises in dramatic created moments photography.
Created Moments – What does that mean?
Well, the vast majority of photographers will call themselves documentary or photojournalist photographers because they like to stay well hidden, in the background and take 10001’s of photographs in the hope that a few will come out ok. They tend to lack the technical knowledge or creative energy to want to be different (and Andrew is expecting to get flamed over this!) and make themselves stand out. What you then get is a lot of “look alike” wedding images. Same poses all the time, the same number of photographs of the canapes, of the drinks, of people eating, of people laughing (and nothing wrong with those) etc. You miss the big shots of the bride and groom (or bride and bride/groom and groom) that will make amazing images when printed large on a wall.
And that is what Andrew likes to create – those dramatic images that you NEED to print large and put on your wall.
As a wedding photographer in South Wales, I want to stand out from the crowd. I want to make my clients go “WOW!” when they see those created moments, not “oh” when they see another photograph of great Uncle John in the middle of telling a joke.
I use smoke grenades, sparklers, veils, you name it. Wedding Photographers in South Wales need to do more to be creative – do something out of the ordinary. Otherwise the work of Wedding Photographers in South Wales just looks normal and bland
