My cunning plan for photographing weddings

Got to love a sexy title!! ” my cunning plan for photographing weddings “

Above all else my main concern is twofold. YOU and ME.

YOU – I’d hate to be the person that either passed on CV-19 or hate to put you in a situation where I caught it from you.

ME – I have a legal duty to ensure my workplace is as safe as it can be. That legal duty has always been there by the way, it’s not a CV-19 thing.

My cameras / lenses etc will be cleaned before I enter the property / room using

  1. I WILL be wearing a mask at all times when I am indoors doing things like preparation photography. Bridal prep / groom prep / details etc.
  2. I MAY wear a visor also, depending on how crowded/tight the available space is.
  3. I WILL be washing my hands on a regular basis so please ensure there is soap available at the nearest sink for me, and others.
  4. I WILL be using hand gel between touching, photographing and returning the details (shoes, rings, perfume, watches, cufflinks etc)
  5. I WILL be using single-use disposable gloves, plus masks etc if you ask me to help with the dress.

Numbers will be limited. And if you want me there I’m counted towards those numbers. I can do several different things here, depending on the situation:

  1. You count me in the numbers or,
  2. I set up my cameras to capture the wedding remotely. They can be set to take a photograph every second for infinity, or until the memory cards run out. If I adjust the settings somewhat I can get around 4,000 photographs or 60 minutes worth on each camera. I would have to use wider lenses to ensure I captured the full scene but would still be able to crop in somewhat. I also have an action camera to be able to record a wide view on video, as well as facilities to record the audio. I’m NOT a video specialist so can not guarantee the quality etc, however, it is another option.

Group and Family wedding photography

Unless there is a large enough space and a high enough window I will be limited to my group shots. Sorry. I ‘may’ be able to do a limited shot using a fisheye lens and a large pole, but that would be entirely at my discretion depending on the risks incvolved.
