Wiltshire Country Wedding - Cordelia & George

1) Tell us how you first met? Who what when where why? Give us the dirty details.

Met on Tinder. After we matched George sent the first message and Lia replied a week later. After three weeks and a few messages, Lia was in A&E with a hole in her leg one Saturday night and made a deal with a friend that if George’s response to her message that she was in A&E was reasonable, she would go on a date with him. Five weeks after matching we met.

2) When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did?, etc.

G: When I realised that Lia also enjoyed watching rugby and might not think I was so mad with my fanaticism with my love of rugby.

L: After he had seen my competitive side, said yes to watching rugby on Tv one date and spent another date just chilling chatting about random stuff, including my ideas, as a girl, of my wedding.

3) Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning?, how did you feel? nervous, excited, freaking out?)

Having agreed to walk Lia’s parent’s dogs one Sunday, George exacerbated Lia by insisting on going for a walk much earlier than normal and therefore she had planned. During the walk, in a field that has a significate meaning to Lia, she tried to elbow George when throwing a ball for Zelda. After missing George, she turned around to have a jokey go at him for spoiling her fun, but he was on one knee. After the walk, we went to the pub next to Lia’s parents.

It was in the planning for many months waiting for the moment many things came together. George felt nervous as he wanted to make sure it was perfect for both of us.

In a field walking dogs sums us both up, so guessing he got it right, she did say yes.

4) Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.

G: Her passion. L: How caring he is.

5) If you feel comfortable, share with us something silly or quirky the other person does.

George twiddles Lia’s hair. Lia’s imperative middle of the night sleep conversations.

6) Besides getting married - what’s the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?

Spending time with family and friends having a party.

7) What’s your favourite trend for weddings right now?

We are making sure that our wedding represents us and what we love rather than following any trends.

8) What inspired your décor or theme?

Bath rugby, Gin, Submarines, Hippos and our favourite flowers.

9) What’s one thing you wish you would have known earlier in regards to planning?

If all questions had only yes or no answers, George’s life would have been (lots and lots) easier (Lia detests decision making).

Wiltshire Country Wedding - The Photographer

A lovely wedding with really nice people.   Attended the church rehearsal and arranged to meet the bride and her tribe at 0800hrs for dog walking.

Got up nice and early, packed my car, locked the AirBnB front door and then block door...only to realise I'd left my wedding clothes in the house!!! Arrhhh - still no worries.  I was dressed in dog walking kit.  Left an email for Jane (AirBnB) and went off to walk dogs and take photos.  Long story short I ended up going to Asda to get trousers, shirts and jacket as I'd not heard from Jane by the time bridal prep was due to start.  Living the dream eh?!!

As is typical of my usual wedding photography day I ended up doing more than taking photographs.  Cutting card up ready to be printed & laminated on for the table setting - all part of the service.  Taking cushions and seats outside for the fire pit later that evening - all part of the service.  Babysitting (whilst taking photographs!) of baby...yes, all part of the service!

Overall an amazingly fun but very hot day.  The weather was around 33'-34' we reckon.

Enough of my prose...you are here for the photographs... p.s. I didn't know so many varieties of gin existed!
