The Initial Meeting
It is always a bit daunting planning a wedding for the first time and meeting your wedding photographer. I prefer to meet at my local Marriott Hotel, which also has an excellent coffee bar, or I can come over to your home. Either way, it is a relaxed process.
I’m not going to talk you into something you don’t need or don’t want. I’m not going to hard sell or ask you to confirm on the day if you feel you both need the time to discuss things over.
All I am going to do is ask you about your wedding and show you may work. That’s all.
If you want to wait you can. If you want to say no – you can.
The Pre Wedding Session
I like to have fun, and if you have booked me so do you. A pre-wedding session allows all of us to get together, preferably at the venue, for some great relaxed portrait photography.
It gives me a chance to look at the wedding reception venue you have chosen and scout out locations. It gives me an idea of what we can do, where we can do it and what I would need. It also gives me a chance to think about a wet-weather plan!
Along the way, we capture some great pre-wedding photographs! You can see an example of these here.
You get access to the images, for downloading at full size by the way.
If you chose to meet up to look through the photographs with me I would be honoured. I’ll get a private room at the local Marriott Hotel, complete with a large screen and bottle of wine (or tea / coffee – depending on who is driving!) and we can relive the wedding day again.
If you prefer not to wait that long I can send you the link so you can login and look through the wedding photographs at your leisure.
You can confirm with me when we meet if you would like to book or you can let me know later. I keep the date in my diary for you for 5 days, after that I open it out to other couples.
If you want to pay cash for the booking fee, that is fine. A receipt will be provided either written or electronically via email or text. My Terms & Conditions are set out here by the way.
When you book I’ll send over your contract, which includes exactly what you have asked for, how much it costs, when you need to pay and how long things take. I’ll do this by email.
I’ll also ask you to think about the date and location for the pre-wedding session that is included in the collection.
The Wedding Day
I’m more than a bit organised. I will get in touch a week before your wedding date and ask you to confirm the details one final time.
Then it is time for me to arrive for your preparation photographs and continue until after the first dance. It could be 10 hours, 14 hours or in the middle of summer with fireworks, it could be 16 hours. Yo get me from prep – end.
Along the way, I’ll take loads of details of your wedding day for you to remember, loads of funny photographs, loads of family groups (I love family groups) and a lot of Signature Images.
In total, you will receive 450+ edited and retouched wedding photographs. These will be ready no longer than three weeks after your wedding.
The Folio Box
I ask you to choose which images you would like for your folio box. I’d like 20 images, and we can choose these at the reveal or you can use the online gallery to send me your favourites.
Once I have the images for the folio box it will take about 4 weeks to get back to you.
I’ll drop it off in person.
The Wedding Album
If you choose a wedding album also then the process is the same except I’d like 70 images for the album and it will take 5 weeks to get back to you.
