Castle Hotel Brecon Wedding Photography – I was really pleased to be able to photograph this wedding. As soon as Lindsey had told me she was getting married in Brecon my thoughts turned to getting her and her husband onto the Brecon Beacons for some ‘extra’ photography. They didn’t let me down!
The day started as usual with the bridal prep, and both Lindsey & Jason were staying at the Castle Hotel Brecon the night before as well as getting married in this great venue. This makes my job a lot easier :-)
The ballroom where they were married was just amazing, the staff were great and really looked after me.
About Castle Hotel Brecon
Formerly an 11th Century Norman Castle, then an early coaching inn and later the residence of the Morgans of Tredegar Park, in 1809 part of the castle ruins and outbuildings were renovated by Sir Charles Morgan to become one of the first ‘modern’ hotel in Wales.
Come and visit us, look around our inn, bedrooms, castle, riverside and mountain-view gardens and our facilities and discuss your requirements with the events team.
Brecon Castle retains all the warmth and character of a coaching inn mixed with the formality of a late Georgian hotel. The Regency Ballroom, with the medieval remains of the Great Hall of Brecon Castle attached, is undoubtedly one of the most attractive and historic venues in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
The mountains dominate the town of Brecon and provide a picturesque backdrop to ballroom, gardens, restaurant and bar. There are four private dining venues

The thing is…if you are 15 minutes away from the bottom of South Wale’s largest mountain (Pen y Fan) it would be a shame not get in a car and grab some amazing wedding photographs from thier.. so that’s exactly what we did.
The weather was amazing – clear, with the kind of perfect clouds that I love. Yes, we did get some strange looks – but this is art!
